Here are a few older version of programs I like to keep around in case I need them and cannot locate again on the web. If your like me, many times the older versions work better, or with less fuss.

Auto Gordian Knot 1.25

This simple but powerful program allows almost anyone to easily make an .avi file from .vob files (DVD Video files). I prefer this older version because of limitations that were added to later versions. AutoGK is a lot like HandBrake (which is a great tool too) but is used when you want good old fashioned XviD .avi files. In particular, AutoGK is perfect for making .avi files from TV DVD sets, or any dvd with multiple shows on one disk.

 DVDShrink 3.17

The newer versions of DVDShrink were nerfed and unable to decode encrypted DVD disks.

A very good tool for isolating each episode to it’s own vob file for conversion with AutoGK when there are several episodes on a disk. Also works well when isolation a single ‘angle’ or subtitle set (like Star Wars DVD’s) for conversion.
