 A threat that even the mighty Continuum cannot stop. Once cast aside, The Frontiersmen have assembled anew to face that threat, but the lines between friends and foes have blurred. Priorities have changed and loyalties have shifted. Yet, if the galaxy is to survive, there exists but one single hope. The Return of the Frontiersmen.

I was one of those who supported DPM’s Indiegogo campaign and have been looking forward to seeing what the studio can bring. That patience paid off big time recently when got a first look at Dragon Phoenix Media’s upcoming Frontiersman/Pathways Issue Zero (#0). The issue will be offered free of charge at their site, Dragonphoenixmedia.com, once it is released.

And wow. Moby was thinking this would be a simple superhero origin story, diluted by having to deal with an ensemble cast. But this zero issue was not that at all.

This whole fan-editing thing has gotten out of control. First it was Star Wars Episode I, then other films. Some of these edits are quite good by the way. And now…it’s the teaser. Is nothing sacred?

To be honest I did not think there was enough meat to the teaser to make anything much of it, but as usual the internet has overruled me.

Star Trek fans should really check out this Kickstarter by author Stephen Fender. Stephen is a published author with a pretty neat hobby; he likes to write Star Trek ‘fan fiction’. And he is working on a series of new Trek novels set during The Four Years War.

What is Star Trek: The Four Years War?

The Four Years War was a protracted conflict between the United Federation of Planets and the Klingon Empire, which took place roughly ten years prior to the events depicted in Star Trek: The Original Series.

The entire war was outlined in a supplement for the FASA version of Star Trek: The Role Playing Game. While the supplement goes into some detail concerning battles, tactics, and political motives, it is lacking a great deal.

Being an avid fan of military history, I felt that this was a great project to test my abilities at novel writing. Thus, in 2011, this series was born.

mattLawrence Block fans waiting for the release of A Walk Among the Tombstones should check out Mathew Scudder’s new Facebook page!

The new movie is due for release in just 5 days, and the fans have been having a bit of fun with poster for the film.

After seeing posts showing the large poster in displays in New York, fans got into the game by photoshopping ‘ad buys’ onto such iconic sites as The Statue of Liberty, Champs-Élysées, the Pyramids at Giza, and others.
